Kiyu Ed is a positive-behaviour and rewards platform for K-12 schools. Teachers award points in two taps from the classroom; students see where they stand; school and district leaders see whether any of it is working.
Who it is for
- Teachers and counsellors — award points during class without interrupting it, on the web or on a phone that keeps working when the school Wi-Fi does not.
- School administrators — manage rosters, staff, houses and the reward catalogue, and see standings across grades, classes or houses.
- District administrators — compare schools, follow trends over a term, and run district-wide rewards and reporting.
- Students — see their own balance, their own history, and what they can redeem.
What it does
- A point ledger that is append-only. Balances are computed by summing events, and a correction is a new entry with a note — never a quiet edit. That is what makes the record answerable to a PBIS audit.
- Standings by house, grade or class, whichever way a school is organised, over the window a school cares about.
- A reward store, stocked by the school, the district or an approved community sponsor.
- Reporting that rolls up to the district without asking any school to assemble a spreadsheet.
Student data
Kiyu Ed is built for schools, which means it is built for FERPA. Student data belongs to the district, is never used to train AI models, and is never sold. Access is scoped to the role that needs it — a teacher sees their classes, not a directory.
No automated system takes an action about a student. Anything the platform suggests is a suggestion to a member of staff, who decides.
Kiyu at home
Families can use Kiyu, our family rewards app, on its own — no school required. Where a family's school is a Kiyu Ed partner, a parent can connect the two so that what a child earns at school is visible at home.
